Where does this number come from?
- Entirely from what people filling in this form report about themselves. It is not mixed with the application data the product collects — one is self-reported, the other measured, and pooling them into one average would corrupt the figure.
- We use the median, not the mean. Answers are anonymous, so one person can answer more than once and an extreme value can be sent deliberately; a median barely moves under either, a mean is at their mercy.
- Answers covering a short period tend to read low: applications sent recently may not have had time to be answered yet.
- No identifier is stored — no email, no IP address, no cookie. Every field is picked from a fixed list; no free text is collected.
