Terms of Use

Last updated: 16 September 2026

This page sets out the rules that apply when you use e-kariyerim — the website, the Chrome extension and the tools that work without an account. By using the site you accept these terms; if you do not accept them, please do not use it. How your personal data is handled is described in a separate document, the Privacy Policy; the two apply together.

What the service is

e-kariyerim is a tool for keeping track of your job search:

  • A dashboard that records your applications, tracked jobs and reminders; import from a LinkedIn export; a Chrome extension that collects signals from job pages and from replies in Gmail.
  • Tools that work without an account: CV scan, reply-rate benchmark, and reading company reviews.
  • Public company pages where registered users write anonymous, structured reviews of companies.
  • Salary information: signed-in users share their salary at a company anonymously and read each other's entries.

The service is provided as is. We may change, pause or remove features; on a free service we do not promise advance notice, but a change that affects user data is announced on this page and, where needed, by email.

Your account

  • You must be at least 18 to open an account.
  • You open an account for yourself and are responsible for the information you give being accurate. Do not share an account with anyone or use someone else's.
  • Your password and your extension keys are your responsibility; anything done from your account counts as done by you. If you notice unauthorised use, change your password and write to us.
  • You can delete your account permanently at any time from Account Settings; what gets deleted is listed in the Privacy Policy.

Company reviews

Writing a company review needs an account and is subject to these rules:

  • You rate only what you experienced yourself — a company you worked at, interned at or went through the hiring process of. Do not rate hearsay, someone else's experience, or a company you have no relationship with.
  • A review is made of ratings and fixed statements we wrote; there is no free text. The list of statements is the same for everyone and may be updated from time to time, like this page.
  • You can write one review per company per account, and there is a cap on the total number per account; both are shown on the My Reviews page. If your view changes, you edit your existing review.
  • Your review is published the moment you save it, without your name. If a reader reports it, a moderator looks at it and may leave it up, ask you for changes, or remove it; the reason appears on the My Reviews page. You can edit and resubmit a removed review; whether it goes back online is the moderator's decision.
  • Using reviews in an organised way to favour or harm a company — several accounts, reviews written for something in return, coordinated rating — is prohibited and leads to the account being closed.
  • Every published review is its author's personal opinion; it is not a statement by e-kariyerim about a company and we do not guarantee its accuracy.
  • If you represent a company and believe a review about it breaks the rules, you can report that review or write to the address below.

Salary information

When you share your salary at a company:

  • You share only your own salary; not someone else's, and not hearsay.
  • The amounts and the occupation you pick must be truthful.
  • Entries are shown anonymously to signed-in users; readers see the occupation and an experience band, not your name.
  • Ten entries per account in total, one per occupation at the same company. Deleting frees a slot.
  • Entries are user reports; e-kariyerim does not verify them, and they are not advice for salary negotiation.

Your content and licence

  • Everything you save — your applications, CVs, notes, ratings and picks — is yours. We access it only to provide the service; the details are in the Privacy Policy.
  • When you save a company review you grant us permission to publish that review — your ratings and the statements you picked — anonymously on the company page, and to use it together with other reviews to produce scores and summaries. This permission ends when you delete the review or your account; the review leaves the pages and the company's score.
  • The site itself — its design, texts, the list of review statements, the help and guide content, the logo — belongs to e-kariyerim. Copying, reproducing or using it in your own service beyond personal use needs permission.

What you must not do

When using the service, the following is prohibited:

  • Crawling, scraping or bulk-downloading the site or the company pages with automated tools.
  • Trying to get around quotas, rate limits, moderation or other limits; opening several accounts.
  • Using the service to harm, mislead or harass another person.
  • Anything that endangers the service's security, its infrastructure or other users' data.
  • Any use that breaks applicable law.

Liability

  • The output of tools such as the CV scan, the benchmark and job matching is for information; it is not professional advice on careers, law or anything else. Decisions you base on it remain yours.
  • The employers you apply to, and third parties such as LinkedIn, kariyer.net and Google, are not under our control; your relationship with them is subject to their own terms.
  • We do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent applicable law allows, we are not liable for indirect damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the service.
  • Company reviews are users' opinions; if you believe a review has harmed you, use the report path first — every report is read by a moderator.
  • Salary entries are users' own reports; they are not verified and are not advice for salary negotiation or any other decision.

Suspension and termination

  • For an account that breaks these terms we may set its review allowance to zero, remove its reviews, or close it. Where we can, we say why.
  • You can end the relationship at any time by deleting your account.

Changes

We may update these terms; the latest date is at the top of the page. A significant change is announced to registered users by email. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Türkiye. If you use the service as a consumer, the mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country you live in are unaffected.
